Joe Schiller
Mankato, Minn., ---- U.S. College Hockey Online has announced that Minnesota State senior forward/defenseman Joe Schiller has been named to its inaugural USCHO WCHA All-Unsung Team.

Schiller, who played both forward and defense for Minnesota State through-out his four-year college career (he played four games as a defenseman this year, all before Christmas), served as an assistant captain in 2011-12. A native of Detroit Lakes, Minn., Schiller played in all 38 games this season for the Mavericks and racked up career highs for assists (15) and points (18). He had a total of 13 career points coming into this season, so he really did, indeed, enjoy a break-out offensive season.

Named WCHA All-Academic three times and a three-time WCHA Scholar-Athlete recipient (he has had one B grade during his time at MSU), Schiller owns a grade point average of 3.96 and is applying for law school.
