Mankato, Minn. — The Minnesota State soccer team is ranked sixth in the NSCAA/HendricksCars.com Division II Regional Rankings from September 7, 2010.
Two other NSIC teams were ranked in the regional polls along with the Mavericks. Winona State is ranked third in the poll and Minnesota Duluth is ranked eighth. This poll is voted by the coaches in the region.
The Mavericks recorded two shut-out games in the opening weekend of Soccer action, defeating Ferris State 1-0, then losing to Grand Valley State 4-0.
Minnesota State returns home to take on Regis University on Friday at 3p.m., and Metro State Sunday at 11 a.m., at The Pitch at Gage Towers.
