St. Paul, Minn. — The Minnesota State men’s golf team finished second at the 2010 NSIC Fall Preview, which was held at the Troy Burne Golf Course in Hudson, Wis., the last two days.
Led by senior Kyle Bahe and junior Julian Ramirez, who tied for first in the individual standings the Mavericks combined to card a 36-hole team total of 617 at the par-71, 6,774 lay-out.
St. Cloud State claimed the tournament title with a team total of 614 and there were a total of nine teams participating in the event.
Bahe (72-80--152) and Ramirez (77-75--152) tied with three others for the tournament low score. Based on today's low score of 73, SCSU's Beau Anderson was declared the tournament medalist.
Other Mavericks at the tournament included freshman Tyler Goss (76-78--154, tied for sixth), sophomore Kyle Thul (81-79--160, 20th) and sophomore Greg Werner (86-79--165, tied for 32nd).
