Mankato, Minn. – The Idaho Steelheads of the East Coast Hockey League have announced that they have signed Minnesota State senior forwards
Geoff Irwin and
Kael Mouillierat.
Irwin, a senior captain for the Mavericks this year, completed his four-year Minnesota State career with 32 goals and 52 assists for 84 points in 143 games. His 84 points ranks 13th on MSU’s all-time scoring list for the NCAA Division I era. Irwin, a Victoria, B.C., native had 8-16--24 in 37 games as a senior to tie for fifth on MSU’s scoring charts.
Mouillierat, who served as an assistant captain during the 2009-10 campaign, finished with 49 goals and 43 assists for 92 points in 144 career games with the Mavericks. His 92 points ranks tenth for MSU’s NCAA Division I era. The Edmonton, Alta., native tied for second on MSU’s scoring charts as a senior with 13-12--25. He tied for the team lead in goals and shorthanded goals and led the Mavericks with four game-winning goals. He his nine career game-winning goals ties for seventh on MSU’s all-time list.
Both players are expected to play for Idaho tonight in a home game vs. Ontario.
