AKRON, OHIO – The Minnesota State men’s swimming and diving team opened the 2010 NCAA Division II National Championships Wednesday with a pair o swimmers participating in individual races.
Sophomore Matt Chida swam in the 200-yard IM and finished 29th with a time of 1:454.32 while freshman Tom Gasnick swam in the 50-yard freestyle and finished 47th with a time of :21.61. Neither advanced to the finals in the evening session.
Drury leads the event with 79 points.
The Mavericks continue action in the four-day event Thursday.
