Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach Jason Eck joined the Minnesota State Football coaching staff in the summer of 2013.

During his first season at MSU, the Maverick offense posted a single-season record 43 rushing touchdowns, to go along with the second-highest single-season rushing tally of 3,536 yards. The Mavericks also boasted the highest scoring offense in the league with an average of 43.8 points per game.

Prior to MSU Eck served as a member of the Western Illinois football coaching staff where he was the offensive line coach/run game coordinator. The Leathernecks averaged more than 100 yards on the ground per game during the 2012 season.

Prior to joining Western Illinois, Eck spent one season with Hampton University, where he saw his offensive line rank 48th in the nation with in sacks allowed. During the 2009 and 2010 seasons, Eck worked as the offensive line coach at Ball State which saw the total number of sacks drop from 30 to 16 during his two seasons.

A native of LaCrosse, Wis., Eck spent two seasons on the Winona State coaching staff, where he was elevated to the co-offensive coordinator in 2008. WSU's rushing attack ranked in the top two in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference during the 2007 and 2008 seasons.

Eck also spent three seasons on the University of Idaho coaching staff and two years at Colorado. He began his coaching career at his alma mater Wisconsin, where he served three seasons as the assistant offensive line coach. Eck helped the Badgers to a Big 10 championship and a Rose Bowl win in 1999, and a Sun Bowl championship in 2000.

Prior to his coaching career, Eck earned a scholarship to play with the University of Wisconsin and served as a backup on the Badgers' 1998 Big 10 Conference and Rose Bowl championship team.

Eck earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology in 1999 and a master's in Business from Wisconsin. He and and his wife, Kimberly, have three children: Quentin, Jaxton and Palmer.
